Person Information Details Page
Important

The Person Information Details page lets you view and manage various pieces of information for individuals. Use the links below to learn more about the information available on each tab.
Note
The Person Information Details page includes much of the information available on the Desktop Name Entity window. Some functionality may not be available in J1 Web yet, and is scheduled for a future release.
Permissions Required
To access the Person Information Details page, you must be in a Person Management role (or copy of it) with view permissions for at least one of the tabs. For additional information about permissions and functionality, click the links for each tab.
Cross-Table Student Information Update for Deceased Students
When a Death Date is entered or changed, the system can prompt you to use Cross-Table Student Information Update to copy the new the information to other tables. There are various options for which information gets copied to which tables.
Note
Cross-Table Student Information Update fields appear only if the Display cross-table student information update pop-up window checkbox is selected on the Enrollment Settings page.
When you enter or edit a Death Date, you can populate the Special Status information on the NSC Student Master table (nslc_student_mast). You can also copy information to the Student Division Master (student_div_mast) and Degree History (degree_history) tables.
Update NSC Special Status Information: NSC Student Master table
Special Status: The checkbox is selected by default and populated with Deceased.
Special Status Start Date: The checkbox is selected by default and populated with the Death Date.
Update Exit Dates: Student Division Master table (Student Information Details page, Division tab) and Degree History table (Student Information Details page, Program tab)
Exit Reason: The checkbox is selected by default with a value of "O - Deceased or Disabled".
Division Exit Date: The checkbox is selected by default and populated with the Death Date.
Program Exit Date: The checkbox is selected by default and populated with the Death Date.
If the Display cross-table student information update pop-up window checkbox is unselected on the Enrollment Settings page, this is what happens:
The Cross-Table Student Information Update fields don't appear.
The cross-table updates happen behind the scenes just as they would with all the checkboxes selected and all the fields populated with the default values as described above.
Use the global search to access the person's summary page.
From the Person options drop-down, select Person information details. The Person Information Details page opens.
On the Person Information Details page, use the available tabs to view and manage information.
To edit information in a category, click the Edit icon
. The Edit pop-up opens. Make your edits, and click Update. Your updates are saved, and the pop-up closes.
Select the Biograph tab.
In the Personal Information category, click the Edit icon
. The Edit pop-up opens.
Select the checkbox for Individual is Deceased. The Death Date field appears.
Enter a date in the Death Date field. The Cross-Table Student Information Update fields appear (if set on the Enrollment Settings page to do so).
Under Update NSC Special Status Information:
Special Status: The checkbox is selected, and "D - Deceased" is populated. (The checkbox and drop-down are editable, but if you want to change the student's status to deceased, don't edit them.)
Special Status Start Date: This is populated with the Death Date you selected above, but it is editable.
Under Update Exit Dates: Edit only if you don't want to copy the information to the Student Division Master and Degree History tables.
Exit Reason: The checkbox is selected, and the drop-down is populated with "O - Deceased or Disabled".
Division Exit Date: The checkbox is selected, and the drop-down is populated with the Death Date.
Program Exit Date: The checkbox is selected, and the drop-down is populated with the Death Date.
Click the Update button.
