Manage Regions
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
Use this page to add, update, activate/inactivate, and remove regions. Regions are used to group places. For example, the west region of your campus may consist of dorms, a dining hall, parking area, and a library while the east region may consist of instructional buildings and sports fields. Jenzabar highly recommends grouping your places by region. Associating your place to a region makes it easier to users to search for the location.
Tip
Inactivating a region makes it unavailable for grouping places. You may want to inactivate a region if a lengthy remodeling project is taking place.
In the Filter these regions field, start typing the name of the region you want to view. The list automatically sorts the regions until it locates the closest match.
Sort regions by Name or Place Using by clicking the appropriate column heading.
In the Enter new region name field, enter the name of area being added.
Tip
Make this a commonly understood name to ensure other users can easily identify it.
Tip
You do not need to use the word “region” in the name. It will be added automatically as needed.
Click Create new region.
