FormFlow - Forms: Create Event Registration
The FormFlow - Forms feature is available to J1 Web Events Management customers for free, and allows you to create online event registration forms and associate these forms with event participant information in your Campus Portal. This association ensures that participant registration information entered into the form is available in J1 Web. After the forms are set up for an event, users can access the form online to register and pay registration fees.
FormFlow provides great flexibility for setting up different types of event registration forms. Form fields can be related to J1 event fields when a connection to the J1 database is configured. Connected fields can be used to automatically display invitee names, track registration counts and any related event fees, and collect participant contact information.
Note
When event participants register for an event requiring a registration fee, the Campus Portal Payments feature processes their payment.
Jenzabar provides three sample forms that can be imported and used as templates for creating your own event forms. They include data sources that can be used as is or as examples for setting up various form elements and how those elements can be mapped to the Events Management-related fields.
Single Event with Fee. This sample form is set up so that a link is generated for each individual invitee’s ID. When the invitee clicks the link to access the registration form from an email invitation), their ID number is used to automatically complete portions of the form related to their name and contact information. After the invitee completes and submits the form, they are associated with the specific event and redirected to the payments portlet.
Note
To utilize this form, the event abbreviated name element must be updated with the appropriate event abbreviation.
Single Event without Fee. This sample form is set up so that a link is generated for each individual invitee’s ID. When the invitee clicks the link to access the registration form from an email invitation, their ID number is used to automatically complete portions of the form related to their name and contact information. After the invitee completes and submits the form, they are associated with the specific event.

Multi-Part Event with Sub-Event Registration and Individual Sub-Event Fees. This sample form is set up to allow registrants to enter their email address and search for their name and any existing contact information in J1 Desktop/J1 Web. If the individual is in J1 Desktop, any existing contact information is automatically added to the corresponding form fields and that individual is considered an event participant when the registration form is submitted. If the individual is not in J1 Desktop, they must enter their name and contact information in the form. After the form is submitted, the individual is associated with the appropriate event.
