Registration Setup Overview

Important

Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.

In the Registration Administration hub, you set up the other Registration hubs, the Registration Administration hub itself, and some Campus Portal features. Some setup tasks are in J1 Desktop.

To begin the setup, you can follow the sequence of help topics in the Table of Contents under "Registration Setup Overview". You can also use the "Registration Setup Checklist" topic to track your progress.

This is the general sequence:

  • Set up J1 Desktop

  • Connect the JICS Campus Portal

  • Assign roles

  • Configure settings

  • Switch to J1 Web features

    • Replace some Campus Portal features with J1 Web

    • Set up grade entry

  • Set up attendance reporting

  • Set Up Competency Based Education (CBE) and Open Enrollment (if your school has licenses for those features)
