Microsoft SQL Server Max Memory Configuration Issues

The Microsoft SQL Server memory error message lets you know the SQL Server, Max Server Memory setting needs to be evaluated.

This setting defaults to 2,147,483,647 MB, which is higher than most systems need. Leaving the default value can cause SQL Server to compete for memory with other SQL Server instances and cause significant performance issues.

Jenzabar recommends making this value 75 – 90% of the available sever memory.
