Space Overview Block
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
Use this block to get a comprehensive look at the space. You can quickly review all known characteristics such as internet availability, handicap accessibility, availability for classes, if the space is promoted on your school's Campus Portal, and capacity. You can also edit the information on the overview to make any needed updates.
From the Overview block, click the View all space details link or from the Space options drop-down, select Review space details.

Using these procedures, only the overview information can be updated. To update a space's category information or contact and scheduling availability, click the View all space details link in the Overview block or select Review space details from the Space options drop-down.
Click the Edit overview button. Edit icons appear next to information that can updated.
Click the Edit icon next to the place information you want to revise. The field becomes editable.
Enter or select your changes then click the Save button.
When finished, click the Done editing button. Your updates appear in the Overview block.
From the Overview block, click the View all space details link or from the Space options drop-down, select Review space details. The Review Space Details page appears.
Click the Edit details button. The fields become editable.
Make any updates needed to a field then click the Save button. The Save button must be clicked before clicking out of the field for the changes for that field to be saved.
When you've completed your updates, click the Done editing button.
To return to the Space page, click the space icon.
Space information may not have been entered when the space was created.
If the space was originally entered using the Desktop Room Definition window, it may not have been updated in J1 Web with additional information yet.
You may not be assigned to a role with permission to update space details. For more information, contact your module manager or your school's support team.
The Desktop Room Definition window only allows limited information about a space to be entered. J1 Web may not have been updated with additional details yet.
Marking a space as Visible in Event Request Feature displays the location in the JICS Campus Portal via the Event Requests feature to users looking to submit an event request. To fully utilize this capability, your school must have the JICS Campus Portal, an Events license, and be using the Event Requests feature in Campus Portal.
