Delete an Event
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
Events that are not Scheduled or In progress can be deleted. When an event is deleted, several things happen:
Location requests or reservations, including setup/teardown timeslots, are removed.
Attachments are deleted. Even if you don’t have Document Storage permissions to delete documents associated with an event in J1 Desktop, attachments are still deleted in J1 Web.
Message notifications to event coordinators are removed.
Note
You can delete a recurring event from the Event options drop-down on the Event page. Selecting this option will remove all occurrences for the event. If you want to delete a single occurrence within a series, you can do so on the Manage event occurrences page.
Locate the event you want to delete.
Select Delete event from the Event options drop-down.
Click Delete event in the confirmation pop-up.
Events Module Managers can delete any event that is not in a Scheduled or In Progress status. Events Coordinators can delete events in the Draft, Proposal Approved, or Proposal Denied status.
