Campus Portal Permissions

The default Campus Portal role determines which users can add J1 users to the Campus Portal and assign them to Campus Portal roles. There is also an option to create new Campus Portal roles; however, this is only done when a new base role is added to the Campus Portal (JICS) and users need access to J1 Web and Desktop information.

The following permissions are for administrators who manage Campus Portal security.

Can manage campus portal security

Add J1 users to the Campus Portal and assign them to Campus Portal roles. They can also create new roles; however, this only done when a new base role is added to the Campus Portal (JICS) and users need access to J1 Web and Desktop information.

Can manage Campus Portal UI configuration

Manage general configurations used by Campus Portal (JICS).

Can manage AD internet configuration

Manage advising configurations in the Campus Portal:

  • report name of the advising worksheet being run from the portal

  • if an advisor can alter student requirements

  • if the recalculating option is available

  • report name of the Degree Audit to be run from the portal

  • Path and InfoMaker PBL name that contains reports to be viewed from JICS

  • if contact information will be shown on the Advisee Detail page

Can manage AR internet configuration

Manage accounts receivable configurations in the Campus Portal:

  • report name of the Course and Fee Statement to be run from the portal

  • if students who run the JICS Course and Fee Statement can see Advisor information

  • if students who run the JICS Course and Fee Statement can see Division information

  • if students who run the JICS Course and Fee Statement can see Schedule information

  • Path and InfoMaker PBL name that contains reports to be viewed from JICS

Manage Registration configurations in the Campus Portal

  • Report titles used when when run from the Campus Portal: Faculty Schedule, Grades, Student Grade, Student Schedule and Unofficial Transcript

  • Location and InfoMaker PBL name that contains reports to be viewed from JICS

Can manage portal configuration API batch control

View posted and/or unposted Data Import Service (DIS) batches that have been sent to the campus portal (JICS) Web server.

Can manage blocks

Access the Campus Portal Hub Summary page. These settings let users add and update custom content blocks as well as remove, activate, deactivate, and reorder Jenzabar-provide and custom content blocks on the page.
