Project Details
This page will provide a way for you to track budget line items and control which accounts can be associated with a project.
When you select a project to review, you will see three tabs: Summary, Project Component, and Security.
Summary Tab
This tab is a snapshot of the project's current costs versus budget for the selected date range, and the amount the project is over or under budget.
If the Monitoring toggle is turned on, you will see percentage amounts for Budget Caution and Budget Danger.
The Project Details section allows you to view additional transaction information in the worksheet for the selected project code. You can use the Search bar to find a specific transaction or type of transaction.
Project Component
Warning
Account components must be determined on the General Ledger Settings > Account Number Structure and Component Configuration page.
When a transaction with a project code is processed, a row is created in the Project Details page so that budgets, transaction amounts, and encumbrances can be monitored. You can also manually enter rows by right-clicking on the worksheet and selecting one of the Insert row options.
Tip
If the project codes are not set up before they are associated with transactions, the description column will be blank.
Security
This tab will allow you to control which users can work with a specific project. In an effort to make permissions and roles easier to work with, this tab will display and roles that are associated with projects. Using the listed roles, you can check on the permissions of each role, active users, and access to the selected project.
From the Project Detail page, click the Summary tab.
Click the Edit button.
Editable fields include the following:
Description
Start Date
End Date
Project Manager
Monitoring (toggle on/off)
Budget
Budget Caution (only available if Monitoring is turned on)
Budget Danger (only available if Monitoring is turned on)
You can view actual amounts for the posted, unposted, and encumbrance balances by clicking on the amount link.
When you're finished making changes, click Save.
From the Project Details page, click the Security tab.
You will see a list of project-related roles, active users, and access.
To see the permissions for each role, click on the role title in the Role column.
To see the users in the role, click on the number in the Active Users column.
Click on the Edit button to allow access to be turned on and off.
For each role you want to give access to the selected project, click the toggle in the Access column to ON.

When entering transactions, a project code must be associated with the transaction in order for it to appear on the project tabs. If a transaction is not appearing, got to the GL Transactions page and check the transaction details for a project code. If one is not listed, add it then return to the Project Details page to confirm the transaction is appearing.
