Workweek
Use this setting to define workweeks for your employees and identify which pay groups use which workweek. It is important to stay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) mandates, which state that any eligible employee must be paid a minimum overtime rate for any hours over the usual 40 regularly worked hours in a single workweek. For more information see the FLSA Overtime Pay Guidelines.
Note
Your school can have more than one workweek.
Tip
An employee can be connected to only one workweek at a time.

A workweek is a fixed, regularly recurring period of seven consecutive 24-hour periods (168 hours) that an employer adopts to maintain FLSA compliance. A workweek can begin on any calendar day at any time of the day.
To use Online Overtime, you must create at least one workweek. The workweek is used to determine when an employee receives overtime based on the number of hours they enter for that workweek.
There is no limit to the number of workweeks you can enter; however, most schools use only a few depending on the types of pay groups they have created.
If your school has multiple pay groups that are eligible for overtime, they may need different workweeks. Some work forces may benefit from a different workweek depending on their group, location, or tasks.
Notice
For example, there may be some instances where you want Sunday to be the start of the week, and another where you want Sunday to be the end of the week. In this case, you can create a pay group that works Monday-Sunday and another that works Sunday-Saturday.
You cannot edit a Workweek row. If you want to make changes, you need to create a new row using the Add Workweek link.
If you set up the By Pay Group option, you cannot switch to the All option. This is done to protect the employees in the pay groups so that changes made do not affect any overtime hours entered.
