Report Settings

Use the Report Settings to define which subsidiaries are included when AR reports are generated. This section also sets the default end date used to calculate student balances and charges.

Database Location

Unless otherwise noted, the options below are saved to or selected from the SUBSID_CTL table.

A/R Subsidiary Type for run

Options are pulled from the SUBSID_TYPE table and saved in SUBSID_CTL.SUBSID_TYPE_CDE.

A/R Subsidiary Group for run

Options are pulled from the SUBSID_GRP_CTL table and saved in SUBSID_CTL.SUBSID_GRP_CDE.

Register Selection

Selections are saved to the REGISTER_SEL column with one of the following values.

  • 'A' - All Balance

  • 'B' - Both Debit and Credit

  • 'C' - Credit Balance Only

  • 'D' - Debit Balance Only

  • 'E' - Activity Only

Period End Date

The selected date is saved to the PERIOD_END_DTE column.

  1. From the Finance Receivables Administration Hub options, select Subsidiary control. The Subsidiary Control Settings page opens.

  2. Click the Edit button.

  3. In the Report Settings section, make updates to the following fields as needed.

    • The A/R Subsidiary Type for run drop-down lets you select the subsidiaries included in the process run. Each subsidiary type groups subsidiary accounts according to the type of individual or organization associated with them. All subsidiary types in your system are available for selection.

    • The A/R Subsidiary Group for run drop-down lets you select which group of AR subsidiary accounts is included in the process run. Subsidiary groups can include one or more subsidiary control accounts and any groups defined in the system are available for selection.

    • The Register Selection drop-down contains options that determine the types of transactions displayed for each student on the register reports. These options are based on the students' account balance and activity.

      • All balances

      • Both debit and credit

      • Credit balances only

      • Debit balances only

      • Activity only

    • The Period End Date is used to determine which transactions are processed when statements and registers are generated. This date is also used in the calculations to determine finance charge amounts.

  4. Click Save changes.
