Promotional Information Block
Use this block to review and update how the event is promoted to invitees and participants. You can also access contact information for the promotional point of contact and see which campus portals the event appears on and when.
Note
For a multi-part event, promotional information can be defined separately at the main event level and at the individual sub-event levels.
Tip
The Promotional Summary is used when a non-formatted version of the promotional description is needed and as the pop-over information from Campus Portal calendars. The Promotional Description lets you use text formatting options including fonts, highlighting, numbering, and bullets. You can also add links to other websites.
Click the Edit icon next to the General Promotional Information field.
Make the appropriate updates to the Promotional Name, Summary Description, and Weather Contingency Information as needed.
Click Update. to save updates and close the pop-up.
Note
This information will be available to event invitees and participants.
Click the Edit icon next to the Promotional Point of Contact Information field.
Click the Remove icon to remove a contact.
Make the appropriate updates to the promotional point of contact's name, phone number, and email address as needed.
Click Update to save changes.
Note
When the Display Event on Promotional Calendars option is enabled, the event will appear on designated Campus Portal calendars. This option cannot be enabled until the event is Scheduled.
The Promotional Calendars field lets you remove the event from a Campus Portal calendar or add it to one by typing and selecting the names of the calendars where you want to publish the event. This means faculty, staff, and general public who can access various portal calendars will be able to view event information on the calendars they have access to.
Click the Edit icon next to the Audience & Calendar Information field.
Make the appropriate updates to the audience and Campus Portal calendar display options as needed.
Click Update to save changes.
Tip
The event will appear on Campus Portal calendars designated in the Promotional Calendars field. This option cannot be enabled until the event is scheduled.
Click the Edit icon next to the Audience & Calendar Information field.
From the Display Event on Promotional Calendars options, select On.
Select the Campus Portal calendars where you want to publish the event from the Promotional Calendars field.
From the Event Display Start Date field, enter or select when you want the event to appear on the selected Campus Portal calendars.
The event must be scheduled before the display event on promotional calendars option can be enabled. If your event is in a draft or proposed state, this option isn't available.
