Student Page Overview Block
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
The Student Overview block shows some highlighted information from other blocks on the student page. Depending on your role permissions, you may see the following details:
Financial Aid: current financial aid recipient status, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
Student Classification
Current Academic Standing
Academic Plan Progress
GPA
Registration Clearance Required
Course Approval Required
Student Insurance Information
On the universal toolbar, click the Search icon
. The Search panel opens with Person selected.
Enter part or all of a student's name or ID, and select it from the list. The student's Summary page opens.
Click the Person options drop-down, and select Student and then Summary page. The student's Student Summary page opens with the Overview block visible.
SAP status is used to determine financial aid eligibility. It’s relevant even for students who aren’t currently receiving aid because their financial aid status may change at some point in the future. It’s also a good way to quickly assess whether a student is struggling academically.
Note
When assigning permissions to the role, it is important to consider the different levels of capability you want users to be granted. You may want to create several roles with varying permissions to accommodate different types of users.
