Set Up Annual Statements
Important

For the Annual Statements to appear for employees in J1 Web, complete the following in J1 Desktop.
The following J1 Desktop configurations must be in place to ensure W-2s appear correctly in J1 Web.
Ensure the correct information is entered into the W-2 Controls window.
W-2s need to be generated using the J1 Desktop Generate W-2s window in order for electronic W-2s to be available for employees in J1 Web.
Tip
To successfully use the J1 Desktop Generate W-2s window, including viewing the generated PDFs, you must have Ghostscript PDF Writer installed and your printer must be configured to Print to File. Refer to the latest J1 Desktop Installation Guide for detailed instructions.
To make sure the correct tax year is generated using the J1 Desktop Generate W-2s window, select the appropriate year from the Tax Year drop-down list on the J1 Desktop Payroll Controls window.
Additional capabilities in J1 Desktop:
Administrators can correct an employee's electronic W-2 consent status by either selecting or deselecting the Electronic W-2 checkbox on the Header tab of the J1 Desktop HR Employee Master (via Payroll or Personnel) window.
Administrators can edit individual W-2s for their employees using the Review W-2s/Edit W-2 Data option on the J1 Desktop Generate W-2s window.
