Academic Plan Needs Review

Important

Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.

Use this page to review a list of all the academic plans needing review for a selected catalog year. You can see how many days the plan has been in review, how many students are using the plan and are impacted by any changes that put it in the Needs Review status, and the program requirements related to the plan. You can filter the plans by name and sort them by name, catalog year, number of students impacted, program, and program requirements. Link to the Academic Plan page to view detailed information and make any needed updates.

Click on the name of the academic plan. The Academic Plan page appears where you can review the plan and make any needed updates.

Click on any column heading to sort in ascending or descending order.

There is no limit to the number of days the plan can be in review; however, if there are students associated with the plan, the changes may impact their courses, plan layout, and registration. The sooner the plan is reviewed and updated, the easier it will be for the advisor and student to ensure the plan requirements are being met.

Students are impacted only when a published plan they are using has been changed. Advising Administrators will update the plan based on the changes, and they'll republish the plan. The student's advisor will be assigned a task to review their advisee's plan. The student and advisor can then work together to assign/move impacted requirements and ensure they meet the updated plan's specifications.

Needs Review means updates have been made to the plan layout, curriculum/requirement count for a program, minor, certification, or concentration. Review the Plan page to see if the plan is impacted. The process for updating the plan varies according to the plan status. For more information, see When Aim Requirements Change.
