Employee Supervisor Permissions

The default Employee Supervisor role is for users responsible for managing employee settings, approving/denying timecards and leave, and viewing employee information.

Can manage blocks

Access block settings on the Employee Supervisor Summary and Employee Summary pages. These settings let users add and update custom content blocks as well as remove, activate, deactivate, and reorder Jenzabar-provided and custom content blocks on the page.

Approve Timecards

Can edit and approve employee timecards

  • Edit employee timecards when needed, which allows timecards to be submitted for processing when an employee cannot edit his or her own timecard.

  • Approve employee timecards.

General Information

Can manage settings

  • Determine if an employee’s time entered will be validated against their position’s default hours, which keeps employees informed\

  • Enable a message to be shown to the employees to let them know their entered hours are inaccurate, which ensures timecard accuracy

Can view employee supervisor calendar

View important dates by month, week, or day. This includes timecard approval deadlines for each pay group/pay period combination associated with the employees they supervise.

Can view supervisor summary

View upcoming approval deadlines, employees by pay group, and any employees out today.

  •  View list of employees, which allows supervisors to see a list of all employees they are responsible for.

Can view employee summary

View years of service, current positions, and general salary information.

  • View employee leave requests in one location, and filter them by status, type, or date.

  • Approve or deny employee leave requests.
