Advising Students with Academic Plans

Advisors and their advisees use academic plans to map out which courses need to be taken in which terms to satisfy the requirements of their selected set of aims (e.g., major, minor, certification, Gen Ed, etc.).

The page shows the student's plan name, such as Bachelor of Arts Computer Science. The plan's roots are listed (such as Computer Science BA, Free Electives, General Education, and Language). The plan name is a link to the student's Plan Layout Details page. That's where you work out their plan of courses for each term.

The Plan Progress bar shows what percentage of the plan's requirements the student has met so far.

The Unassigned Requirements list shows all the requirements that haven't yet been assigned to a term. You can assign them to a term on the Play Layout Details page.

For detailed information and instructions, see the Student Academic Plan Page topic and the Academic Plan Overlook topic.
