Student Page FERPA Contacts Block
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
This block on a student's Summary page displays the names of people the student has given FERPA permission to. Only contacts with permissions that are active as of today's date are shown.
The information here is read only. You can create, edit, and remove permissions on the FERPA Permissions page.
The block includes a count of contacts, and the following information on each contact:
Name / ID: The contact person who receives permission. If they don't have an ID in the system, no ID is shown. If the user has permission to view the contact's summary page, then their name is a link.
Date Range: The start and end dates of the permission.
Relationship: For example, "Parent". Relationships are maintained on the Relationship Definitions page in the Campus-wide Definitions hub.
FERPA Permission Details: This lists all the FERPA categories defined on the FERPA Category Definition page that are designated there as Active and Show in Campus Portal. If the permission for this parent is active, a green checkmark
appears. If not, a red X
appears.
Passcode for Phone Inquiries: A passcode the parent can use to identify themselves for phone inquiries.
Note: Text up to 32,000 characters.
