User Merge
Overview
There are times when duplicate person records are discovered within a Jenzabar SONIS member institution's system. When this occurs, the Systems hub utility, User Merge, can be used to merge the duplicates into one record and remove the extraneous record. The utility will notify the administrator if a record does not have a social security number and display information about each ID selected as part of the merge. When a merge is confirmed, the preferred address of the merging ID is set to non-preferred, and the Advisor, Educational Background, Hold, Major, Program, and Recruiter records are made inactive. The Prospect, Faculty, and Faculty Salary Records are deleted. Any statuses that the merging ID has that the receiving ID does not are added to the receiving ID's record and the statuses of the merging ID are deleted. Any remaining records associated with the merging ID are added to the receiving ID. The name record of the merging ID is then deleted.
