Import to Lists
Overview
Jenzabar SONIS member institutions that utilize lists can utilize the Systems hub utility Import to Lists to support list usage. The source file must be an Excel spreadsheet in a .xls format. The utility supports the import of any number of columns of data, provided the first column is the student ID (soc_sec). As the import occurs, the data is validated to ensure it exists in SONIS, and the results are displayed to the administrator. Provided the person is not already on the list being imported to, a record will be created for them. The administrator will be notified of the results, upon completion.

Note
Due to server load and other factors, the import may time out if the file being imported is particularly large. We recommend that you only import files with 1,000 rows or fewer to avoid time-out errors.
