Jenzabar SONIS Version 3.6 Release Addendum
Overview
This release index addendum covers four Jenzabar SONIS changes that did not make it into the initial release and were instead released as part of the first 3.6 patch. These changes update existing functionality based on customer requests. What follows is a brief description of what each change entails. For a more thorough guide to using each function, click through to the corresponding documentation pages.
Career Major Re-Enrollment
Career Major Re-Enrollment is a utility that is used by Oklahoma Tech Centers. It allows administrators to reenroll students in the next step of their career major. However, with the original functionality, only the most recent semester could be viewed, making it impossible to find students who took time off. The utility has been updated with a semester select dropdown and a search bar. Additionally, the same search bar was added to the CMC Assignment page.

As of Jenzabar SONIS version 3.4, institutions can give their Continuing Education students access to the same portal functions that are available to traditional students. However, the financial functions were not included. Due to client requests, these functions have been added to the portal. Navigate to the CE Registration page of the Portal Menu Utility to turn these pages on or off.

When these pages are all turned on, CE students who log in will have a Financials tab with a Billing page where they can view their statement and make payments along with a Ledger page that lists all charges individually.

A new option has been added to the Timed Task Scheduler, a GPA Reset timed task. The task offers the same functions as the GPA Table Management utility under the Systems menu. When the task is run, the GPA table is cleared and rebuilt, refreshing each student's GPA. Running this task regularly should help ensure that there are no GPA errors in the system.

Note that since this process is rebuilding a table that can be very large, it's best to run this task during off hours to avoid overtaxing system resources.
