Highlighted Features

The Jenzabar SONIS student portal and all external pages have been updated based on WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.

Allows institutions to have more than one active online application. Applications can be created for separate departments, for graduates and undergraduates, etc.

Additional changes were made to the Jenzabar SONIS PowerFAIDS integration to provide enhanced functionality and improve the user experience. More specifics are available below under the Administration section of the Enhancements.

New Functions

Administration

New Records utility allows users to have additional names in the system to comply with regional customs and aid multicultural schools.

New Add/Remove holds utility provides an alternate manner of adding and removing holds in bulk.

New utility allows recruiters to be assigned to students in bulk.

Administrators can now export data to learning management system D2L Brightspace.

Jenzabar SONIS now offers online payment processing through Heartland ECSI.

New applicant import system. Designed to accommodate PharmCAS, a centralized application service for pharmacy schools, but will accept data from other vendors as well with correct formatting.

All Portals

New Seamless Single Sign-On option for Microsoft Azure Active Directory users allows domain-based login to Jenzabar SONIS.

Schools can set up their system to accept student payments in more than one currency with exchange rates accounted for.

Enhancements

Administration

The selected level restrictions on each course section page now display to the side of the select box for added clarity.

Total Clock Hours, Clinical Hours, and Class Hours fields have been added to the Add Transfer Course page. Additionally, the character limit on these fields on the Course Add/Edit have been increased to six characters to accommodate varying usage.

New feature randomizes photo filenames for added security and anonymity.

Additional fees can now be filtered by Department in addition to other module statuses.

Jenzabar SONIS now offers a blue CSS as an alternative option to the default grey/magenta.

Status indications can now be added in bulk through Query Builder and Query Builder 2.0. Additionally, status indications can be linked to activities and holds.

Schools can now ask students to select a campus of interest when filling out the Prospect Inquiry Card.

Data can now be exported to Canvas in CSV format.

Allows schools to set up minimum pay options by course, courses section, or course category, requiring either a partial or full payment at checkout.

Update to the automatic Email Address utility allows schools to customize their number sequence formatting for duplicate addresses.

Administrators now need a User Security permission to view and edit each student's integration ID.

The IRS 198-T process has been simplified, removing some steps that were deemed unnecessary.

The ISIR import has been updated to accept the new 2020-2021 format.

Jenzabar SONIS can be now configured to translate majors and minors based on each student's preferred language.

Added a timed task to execute a Moodle export on a regular interval. Also added the ability to transfer the export file to the Moodle remote system.

Updated the Application Entry Date Utility to include Online Application records.

The utility has been enhanced to include detailed user information on use of the utility, as it relates to orphaned records.

Enhanced adjusting awards process to eliminate $0 transact imports and to show only orphan records that can be voided.

Applicant data can now be exported to PowerFAIDS via XML file.

Exported PowerFAIDS XML files can be automatically updated to the PowerFAIDS server.

Added lists drop options to the PowerFaids Exports process.

Updated Jenzabar SONIS for new T2202 2019 reporting requirements.

The Transaction Codes table was removed from Table Maintenance to encourage all administrators to take advantage of the more user-friendly Transaction Codes utility.

Schools using TrustCommerce can now charge a convenience fee on credit card payments.

All Portals

Schools can hide student and alumni balances in the portal Billing utility to allow for payments when pre-billing is being utilized.

The "Max. Rows Displayed (Search Results)" in Web Options now controls the number of results that display in the other portals in addition to admin.
