Jenzabar SONIS Version 3.6 IPEDS Updates

Overview

As part of Jenzabar SONIS Version 3.6, some small changes were made to existing SONIS reports to make them easier to find and use when compiling IPEDS data. These changes are detailed below.

As part of Jenzabar SONIS Version 3.8, an additional IPEDS enrollment report was added. Details are below.

Report Names

Several reports have been renamed with the word IPEDS now in the title to make them easier to find.

• Alumni Profile (RB) report was renamed to IPEDS (Completions): Alumni Profile (RB)

• Enrl Unduplicated Headcount report was renamed to IPEDS (12-Mo. Enrollment): Enrl Unduplicated Headcount

• Graduation Rates report was renamed to IPEDS: Graduation Rates

• Enrl Detail (Used for IPEDs) report was renamed to IPEDS (Fall Enrollment): Enrl Detail

• FA: Award Detail (RB) report was renamed to FA: Award Detail (RB) / IPEDS Fin. Aid Survey

The last report was renamed to list both because it can reasonably be used for other purposes unrelated to IPEDS.

IPEDS Status Column

A column labeled IPEDS Status was added to the following reports:

• FA: Award Detail / IPEDS Fin. Aid Survey

• IPEDS (Completions): Alumni Profile

• Enrolled Student Listing

• Enrolled Student Directory

Each student's IPEDS status is set on their page.

New Excel Outputs

Additionally, a few existing reports that were only available as a PDF can now be viewed as an Excel file with additional fields. The reports have the following columns:

• IPEDS (Fall Enrollment): Enrl Detail -ID, Name, Division, Department, Campus, Level, Degree, Program, Gender, Ethnicity, Age, IPEDS Status

• IPEDS: Graduation Rates -ID, Name, Division, Department, Campus, Level, Program, Gender, Ethnicity, Graduation (Y/N), Graduation Date, Graduated Within Time Frame (Y/N), IPEDS Status

• IPEDS (12-Mo. Enrollment): Enrl Unduplicated Headcount -ID, Name, Ethnicity, Gender, Total Enrolled Credits, Campus, Division, Department, Level, Program, IPEDS Status

To view and download the excel version of the report, select the Excel option when building the report.

IPEDS 12-Month Enrollment Unduplicated Distance Learning Report

This new report, released with Jenzabar SONIS Version 3.8 is an extension of the existing IPEDS 12-Month Enrollment: Enrollment Unduplicated Headcount report. It has three categories: students enrolled exclusively in distance education courses, students enrolled in at least one but not all distance education courses, and students not enrolled in any distance education courses. The report can be viewed as PDF or Excel, and should display the same students as the IPEDS 12-Month Enrollment: Enrollment Unduplicated Headcount report, but with a further breakdown.
