Highlighted New Functions

Online help for our users, Wiki Help, is now available by either logging directly into the Jenzabar® intranet or by clicking the "Web Help" icon or link on each page of Jenzabar SONIS. This feature must be activated by the System Administrator.

Administration

Reports - Award DetailFA: Award Detail/IPEDs Financial Aid Survey Report

An extension of the Awards Summary , in addition to the typical filters, this report allows the user to filter on only awards accepted, those declined, those to which there has been no response and all awards.

New report summarizing CE Registration. Can be filtered on a specific school year and semester.

This new function gives administrators the ability to change Applications' entry dates and/or terms in bulk or one at a time.

This new function gives administrators the ability to deactivate Applicants by changing their status, disposition, academic status and program to reflect their new Jenzabar SONIS Inactive status.

The Grades table is now a standalone Systems utility that offers greater control over setting up grades.

When someone has forgotten their PIN/Password and they click the link on the login page, the email message that they receive will contain a new temporary PIN/Password. However, the email message will also include their USER ID if the checkbox in Systems Variable is checked.

Administrators having more than one profile can now go from one to the other without having to logout and then log back in.

Notifier: Balance Due compares the total billing amount for a specific semester against the total credit amount for that semester. If the billing total is larger than the credit total, that student and their balance due are added to the resulting report. Students and members of the assigned group receive notification via Reminders and/or Email.

"PIN Length" and "PIN-Password Expiration Settings" have been combined into one utility. Additional controls over PINs and passwords have been added.

A utility that allows administrators to assign PowerFAIDS award codes to Jenzabar SONIS award codes for used in PowerFAIDS processes.

Reconcile Course Section Seats can now be run automatically as a timed task.

Alumni

An employment directory has been added so that Alumni can share their employment records with fellow Alumni as well as the administration.

Reports has been added as a new section for portals. As with other menu items, Reports must be activated as well as specific reports under it. Currently QB2 Reports is the only "report" available. QB2 Reports actually provides an access point for the QB2 queries the administration has decided to make available to the specific portal (i.e. student, etc.).

Alumni now have access to a list of school-related email messages and mailed publications. Alumni can then check which publications they want to receive.

Applicant

Administration

Now when a course can be repeated, administrators can set a limit to the number of times courses can be taken and passed.

Now textbooks assigned to a course can also be marked as required or not.

Now a limit can be placed on the number of times passed courses can taken.

Subscores have been added to the SAT page.

The CE Registration Summary report can now is not filtered by school year and semester.

Izenda Reports is a third-party reporting application that adds additional features to Jenzabar SONIS reporting.

Two new fields have been added as filters for searching activities: Categories and Enabled/Disabled.

Moodle, Employer and discount options added.

Many fields have been added: "Contact Memo", "Employer Type", "Inactive", "Salutation", "Secondary Email Address" and "Suffix". "Contact Memo" has a security task attached to it and a link to give an employer "Constituent" status. "Constituent" status can then be used for sponsorship.

Instead of defaulting to the graduation date, the Education "Leaving" (sometimes appears as "To") date and the Program "Stopped" date can be replaced by a date the user enters. This is used when those two fields need to be set to dates other than the graduation date.

For 201718 several fields have been added and values have been defined.

An option to enable/disabled the link used to retrieve a user's PID/PIN from the selected login page has been added to Login Page Setup.

A new option allows first-time Jenzabar SONIS users to log into their newly created application without having to logout and log back in.

When a prospect submits their "Web Inquiry Card", there's an option to send them the standardized email message automatically.

The Semester History Description field has been lengthened to 30 characters, and Session has been added to the table.

CE Registration

The CE Registration login can be activated to be included in the standard index page logins (i.e. "Administration", "Students", "Faculty", etc..Additionally, those with multiple statuses can easily logout of one status and into another with a single click.

A print button has been added to facilitate the printing of an advisee's schedule.
