Jenzabar SONIS Help Hub Documentation

Beginning with Jenzabar SONIS 2024, all in-product help links take the user to the Jenzabar SONIS Help Hub, which is created using a software platform called Paligo. Previously, SONIS documentation was stored on the Jenzabar Wiki. While this platform had several advantages over our previously PDF documentation, the layout could be confusing, it was difficult to search due to other Jenzabar products being included, and the aesthetics were dated. There was also no way to separate users by profile, something which our Paligo setup provides.

Every page in the Jenzabar SONIS system has a help link in the upper right-hand corner. Click this link to be taken to the Help Hub page most closely associated with that Jenzabar SONIS page.

Because this help is web-based, you can also bookmark the landing page or any other Help Hub page to access it from your browser at any time. No login is required.

The left navigation menu in the Help Hub are organized to mirror the left navigation menu in Jenzabar SONIS, with sections for Users, Courses, Financials, Systems, and Reports that can all be expanded, as well as a Productivity Tools section that covers administrative functions like Workflows and Breadcrumbs that are not confined to a single hub.

Below this is sections dedicated to the documentation of the Portal pages and External Pages like the Courses by Semester page and the Online Application. You'll also find links to our Release Indexes and our Overview Pages which are designed to collect related pages from throughout the SONIS system and show how they work together. The Additional Resources section contains links to other Jenzabar content.

On the left of the page, you'll find an index that provides each category and subcategory heading. You can click on any of these to be taken directly to that part of the page.

Portal pages have the same basic page layout, but their left navigation menu and search only provide access to pages that apply to their specific portal. So students will only see Student Portal pages, faculty will only see Faculty Portal pages, etc.

The Help Hub also includes a search feature that can be used to locate additional documentation if the page you're on doesn't have what you're looking for and you're unable to locate it in the left navigation menu.

The search function searches all the text in the page, not just the page title and the category titles.
