Advising Tab Transition to J1 Web
Although J1 Web Advising builds the Desktop Advising and uses the same database tables, J1 Web Advising is more complete and robust. Therefore, not all Desktop fields, features, and procedures correspond directly to J1 Web.

Advisors Group
Advisor assignments are handled differently in J1 Web, with a robust automated assignment feature and with flexible roles and permissions. Therefore, the fields from this Desktop group are in various places in J1 Web. For details, see the J1 Web Advisor Assignment Transition Guide.
