Academic Overview Block on an Alert Page

Use the Academic Overview block to view general and program information from (and a link to) the student's Student Information Details page. You can generate the student's Advising Worksheet and Unofficial Transcript, and jump to the student's academic plan. There's also a link to the student's Student Information Details page.

Permissions

Permission to view alert overviews (and confidential alert overview) is in the Alert Assignee role, the Alert Submitter role, and roles made from the Student Success Administrator role.

Fields

Fields include the following:

  • Academic Standing (such as Honors or Probation)

  • Classification (such as Sophomore)

  • Caree GPA

  • Term GPA

  • FERPA

  • Holds

  • Registration Clearance (that is, whether the student is waiting for it)

  • Registration Control Group (also called Tel/Web Group, Web Registration Group, and Registration Group)

  • PT / FT Status

  • Academic Plan (whether the student is on or off plan and a link to the plan page)

  • Program (division and degree such as Undergraduate - Bachelor of Arts)

  • Minors

  • Certifications

  • Entry Date

  • Expected Graduation

View the Academic Overview Block

  1. From the Alert Tracking page, click the Alert Summary link on an alert. The alert's Summary page opens in a new tab.

  2. Click the Student Details tab. The tab opens, and the Academic Overview block is visible.

  3. To view the student's academic plan, click the link in the Academic Plan field that says "On Plan" or "Off Plan". The student's Academic Plan page opens.

    Note

    If the student doesn't have an academic plan, the field's value is "None", and there is no link.

  4. To generate the student's Advising Worksheet or Unofficial Transcript, click the Generate Report drop-down, and select the report you want to generate. The report opens in a new browser tab. Use the browser's tools to download or print the report.

  5. To view the student's Student Information Details page, click the Student Information Details link. The page opens in a new browser tab.
