Communication Statistics

Important

Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.

The Communication Statistics window provides delivery and engagement metrics from SendGrid and Twilio to help assess communication effectiveness. You can view:

  • Individual email and text interactions: See how many recipients were targeted, how many communications were delivered or failed, and how many recipients engaged (opened, responded, or unsubscribed, etc.).

  • Automation plans: View aggregated statistics for each instance the plan was run, helping you evaluate performance over time and across large recipient groups.

You can also:

  • View recipient lists per interaction or run of the plan.

  • Navigate to a recipient's summary page for further insights.

Statistical information can help identify and resolve delivery issues early, evaluate the impact and reach of your communications, and maintain detailed records for internal reporting and analysis.

  • To view statistical information from the Interactions page, users must be assigned to a Communication Management Base role with interaction permissions enabled.

  • To view statistical information from the Automation Plans page, users must be assigned to a Workflow Base role with automation plan permissions enabled.

Information varies according to interaction types and statistics collected.

  1. Navigate to the Automation Plans page in Workflow.

  2. Find the automation plan you want to review and from the Actions menu, select Communication Statistics.

  3. From the Select records for drop-down options, select the text or email you want to view statistics for and then Success or Failed.

  4. To view the recipient list, click on a bar.

  3. Find the appropriate run time and from the Actions drop-down, select Communication Statistics. The Communication Statistics window appears.

  2. Find the text or email interaction you want to review and from the Actions menu, select Access run history. The Run History page appears.

  3. Find the appropriate run time and from the Actions drop-down, select Communication Statistics. The Communication Statistics window appears.

  4. From the Select records for drop-down options, select Success or Failed.

  5. To view the recipient list, click on a bar.

No, you can view statistic information about all the interactions in the interaction plan - even those you don't have access to.

There can be many reasons causing text or email failure.

  • Verify recipients have a valid, verified contact information in the system.

    You can validate multiple recipients' phone numbers/email addresses on the Communication Contacts page or individually on the J1 Web, Person Information Details page, Contact Info tab.

  • Use the Configuration Status block to check for configuration issues.
