Learn More: Data Sets
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
Data sets are queries that can be used to tailor your communication content and determine who receives your communications. There are two types of queries used with interactions and automation plans (sets of interactions).
Data Dictionaries (previously Data Merge options) can be used to customize interaction content. The data fields from these queries are placeholders when the interaction is defined and are replaced with the actual information when the interaction is applied (e.g., @FIRST_NAME in an email interaction is replaced with 'Samuel' when the email is sent).
Jenzabar provides queries for Name, Student, and Candidate details, and you can upload SQL queries to utilize additional data fields in your interactions.
People/Organization Lists (previously Recipient) determine who receives a communication. You can upload SQL queries that filter recipients based on specific criteria (e.g., use the MAJOR column to send a text to Biology majors).
