Working with Content from the Web Server
If desired, you can use the Free-Form Content feature to host a file stored on your web server, such as an HTML file or a text file.
To upload content from the web server, first you place the file in the ClientConfig/ CustomContent directory, then you enter the name of the file in the feature instance.
Log in to the web server and verify that the file you want to upload is in the CustomContent folder. By default, this folder is at the following location:
Drive:\Program Files\Jenzabar\ICS.NET\Portal\ClientConfig\CustomContent
Open a browser. Log in to JICS and navigate to the appropriate Free-Form Content feature instance.
Click the link labeled Load From File Server.
The system displays a form.
In the Content Name field, enter a name that describes the file. This name is used internally and is not displayed for end users.
In the Enter file name field, enter the name of the file. Do not enter the path—the system assumes that the file is in the CustomContent directory.
Click Save.
The system again displays the feature instance, this time with your referenced file.
Use this procedure to replace or delete content that you uploaded from the web server.
Navigate to the appropriate Free-Form Content feature instance.
Click the link labeled Edit Content.
The system displays a form.
Do one of the following, as appropriate:
To remove the content, click the Delete button.
To replace the content, edit the Enter file name field. Replace the text with the name of whatever file you want to reference, then click Save.
