The Course Context
This section describes both the key eLearning features and the structure of the default template for course contexts. If your school has created its own template, or if you have modified your own context, then the layout described in this section may not match what you see. However, the behavior of the features is always the same no matter what pages or tabs they are associated with. So even if your school uses a different template, you can refer to the sections below for a quick snapshot of how the features are meant to be used.

A Data Migration process is required for upgrading to JICS 2026.1. The migration uses a Migration Tool followed by a Migrate Over Time scheduler job that runs periodically. The migration of all Course sections is part of this process.
After the Migration Tool has run, but before the Migrate Over Time job has finished migrating all Course sections, users may attempt to view a Course context. If the Course sections are still in the migration queue, a warning message appears. The message states: "The page you are looking for is in the process of being migrated. Check back later, and if you continue to see this message, contact an administrator for assistance."
