About Faculty Comments to Students
Faculty can post comments to individual students in the Attendance feature. To do so, click the Add comment icon  on the right of a student's name. A comment already made that is visible to a student displays a green open eye icon. A comment already made that is private (not visible to a student) displays a red eye slash icon

Clicking the Add comment icon  (or green Visible icon
 (or green Visible icon  or red Private comment icon
 or red Private comment icon  .) displays a text editor, allowing you to enter a new comment (or edit a previous one), insert images, add audio or video, attach files, etc. The student will see the comment in the Faculty comment field when viewing that session in their view of the Attendance feature (if the comment is marked as visible).

To add a private comment that is not visible to the student, click the Visible to student checkbox to remove the default checkmark (make the checkbox blank).
