Grading Basic and Uploaded Assignments
This section describes how to enter grades for a basic or uploaded assignment. You can enter or modify grades using either of two methods:
On the assignment overview—This method lets you enter grades for many students at once.
On the Student Assignment Details screen—This method might be useful if you want to enter a comment along with the grade.
For help grading online assignments, see Grading Online Assignments.
A third method is importing grades for assignments from CSV files, which is described in the following section.
Importing Grades for Assignments from CSV Files
In Coursework, Faculty can import grades from external platforms by using a comma-separated values (CSV) file format. This feature is available in both Basic and Learning Tool assignment types. To grade by a .csv import, the file must be set up so the columns read "Student" and "Grade" from left to right.
On the assignment screen, a "How to Format Grades" textbox explains how to enter grades in several formats, such as by a letter grade or percent. Another textbox below it describes how to format and import a .csv file for grading.
The screenshot below highlights the textbox that describes how to format and import grading files. Clicking the "here" link downloads the formatted assignment template that can be used to enter grades.
