Calendar Settings
The Settings screen for the Calendar feature allows a user with Can Admin privileges to manage the following settings:
Specify the default calendar view (month, week, day, or list)
Show My Calendar by default (yes or no)
Managing Calendar Tags
Calendar tags allow you to categorize and easily search for related calendar items. For example, all athletic calendar items can have an “Athletic” calendar tag applied to them. If you are looking to view all Athletic calendar items, you can easily search for those calendar items within a Calendar instance using the filtering option.
Calendar tags can be created, edited, and deleted from the Calendar Tags screen by any user with permission to manage tags. In the Manage Calendar Tags table, the Tagged Calendars column lets you quickly view which calendars have each tag set as a default calendar item tag.
The Calendar Tags screen also lets you mark tags as inactive or active. Active calendar tags can be added to calendars and calendar items. Inactive tags cannot be added to any new calendars or calendar items but will remain on calendars and calendars items it is already associated with. You will still be able to search for calendar items using inactive tags.
For the Calendar feature instance in your course context (or for any other that you are in charge of), you can choose whether the instance, in its default view, will display calendar items in a monthly, weekly, or daily calendar style, or in a list display.
