Health Code Definition Window

Your organization may have a list of health-related requirements that a student must satisfy in order to attend. You may also have a set of special needs or information about a student's health that you want to track. Each of the requirements or special needs you want to track for students must be assigned a Health Code (examples) that is defined in the Health Code Definition window.

Columns

The following columns are used to define the requirements or health-related items your organization will track for students.

Health Code Categories replace Types in older software versions.

Health Code Category defines the type of code this is; for example, if it is a required immunization or an exam, or if it is an informational item, such as a pre-existing condition the school should be aware of, like nut allergies. There are seven pre-defined Health Code Categories, and they may not be edited.

How To

1. Open the Health Code Definition window.

2. Choose Add Row from the right-click or Options menu.

3. Type in the Health Code.

4. Type in the Description.

5. Select the Type from the drop-down list.

6. Select the Required checkbox if the Health Code is required for a student to attend your institution.

7. Save.

1. Open the Health Group Definition window.

2. Right-click on a group and choose Assign Health Codes.

3. The Assign Health Codes to Health Groups window appears showing you all available Health Codes.

4. To assign a Health Code that is not already included in the group, right-click on it and choose Select.

5. To remove a Health Code from the group, right-click on it and choose De-Select.

6. Save.

Troubleshooting Health Code Definitions

You may receive the following message on the Student Health Profile window: "Error - No Rows Found." Click here for steps to follow to ensure that you have properly defined and configured your Health Codes setup.

1. Ensure that the Session Begin and End Dates are defined in the Session Definition window.

2. Ensure that there are students in the Session. You can add students one at a time or mass add students to the session.

3. Ensure that you have defined the required Health Codes in the Health Code Definition window.

4. Ensure that you have defined the required Health Groups in the Health Group Definition window.

5. Ensure that you have assigned the required Health Codes to the appropriate Health Groups in the Assign Health Codes to Health Groups window.

6. In the Health Profile window, select a Session from the Session drop-down list. You will still receive the message because the Requirement radio button is selected on the Health Profile window and no Health Code is defined to be required.

7. In the Health Code Definition window, highlight one of your Health Codes and select the Required checkbox for one of the Health Codes (not the Default Required column).

8. Save.

9. Go back to the Student Health Profile window. Enter a Session, an ID Number, and a Health Group. The message should not appear.
