Before determining which Report Section Category an offense is determined to count toward, J1 now requires you to answer whether or not an offense took place in a Student Residence Hall.  

If you answer “Yes,” J1 will automatically record and show the Report Section Category as “On-Campus Student Housing Facilities.” On the report, however, it will also record this violation in the On-Campus Section.

This report is available for all report sections.

When creating the Campus Crime Report, the Federal web site requires that you upload data for the following three separate reports related to Fire Tracking:

o     On-Campus Student Housing Facilities

o     Reporting by specific On-Campus Student Housing Facility

o     General Summary

1.    Be sure you have defined appropriate categories on the Violation Categories window.

2.         Be sure you have defined appropriate violation types and associated each with the appropriate violation category on the Violation Types window.

3.         Set up parameters for the Campus Crime Report in the Violation Incident window.

4.    Open the Campus Crime Report window.

5.    Specify the Selection Criteria for the report.

a.    Select the appropriate Location.

b.    Select the appropriate Session.

c.     Enter the From and To dates.

6.    Click OK.

7.         The report is displayed on the Campus Crime Report Preview window.

8.         You can preview different sections of the report by selecting appropriate radio buttons in the Report Section group box and selecting tabs (Criminal Offenses, Hate Offenses, Arrests, Disciplinary Actions, Fires).

9.         Select the printer icon from the tool bar or choose File > Print to print this report.
