Grade Entry Window

This window displays an alphabetical (by last/first name) list of students registered for a specific Year/Term/Course/Section. It allows you to enter mid-term or final grades, days absent, and clock hours for courses to which you have Course Security rights for these students. In addition to being registered for the course, the listed students have a Transaction Status of 'Current' and have not yet received a grade for the course. The Instructor, Instructor ID, and Instructor Name are also displayed.

When you enter and save grades, J1 updates the Student Course Status to History (H ), and runs the Academic Recalc if the Update Academic Record during Grade Entry checkbox is selected on the Registration Configuration window. If this checkbox is cleared, you must run the Recalculate Academic Record option in order to change the Student Course Status to History (H ) and to update the GPA.

If you selected Academic Credit Varies by Division on the Registration Configuration window, the "Credit Hours" header will be replaced with the label you created on the Division Definition window.

Grade changes can only be made for courses with a TRANSACTION_HISTORY of 'H.'

Details

A student will be displayed on the Grade Entry window only if a grade has not been entered for that student. Use the Grade List Report to view the list of grades for a class.
