Exclude from Report

When you provide reports to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), you should NOT include information on students who for any reason are not eligible for Federal student loans, including those students who do not have a valid Social Security Number (SSN). Typically, foreign students are not eligible for student loans; however, if they have a valid SSN, their information should be included in the reports.

The NSC Edit Student Data Records window includes a checkbox that you can select to show that the student's record should be excluded from NSC reports. Marking a student's record as a foreign student also excludes the record from the NSC report.

Consult with the NSC to determine which students to exclude from reports. Possible examples are medical students who are in internships or fellowship programs and visiting students from other schools.
