Before changing benefits for a timecard, you must indicate that this timecard is separate from normal ones by selecting the Separate Timecard checkbox on the Long Timecard Entry tab. |
If you want to tax the pay for a timecard, you can choose Options | Taxes. This allows you to change the Filing Status and/or Number of Exemptions or indicate any Additional Withholding amounts for this timecard. You can even add a tax that this employee does not normally have or delete one they normally have.
If you need to add additional withholding to have enough tax taken out for any extra pay, you could use this feature. You may also use it if you want to change the number of exemptions for the position for the pay run. |
