The Academic Competitiveness Grant was created with the passage of the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 (HERA). This grant was created to encourage students to study specific science, math, or language subjects and is awarded to first- or second-year students who, among other qualifying criteria, must have completed a rigorous secondary school program. A candidate can only be associated with a single Rigorous High School Program Code for each AD Org Tracking row.
The Rigorous High School Program Code column is only available when the student qualifies for eligibility by their specific high school program; in other words, you have selected the 01 - High School Program option in the Rigorous High School Eligibility column.
This code is a six-character code representing the participating State Program. As other state programs are deemed 'rigorous,' you can define those codes on the Maintain Table Values window and stored in the Table Details table. Choose Column Name of rigorous_hs_prog_cde. Once codes are defined, they can be selected from a drop-down list.
