Assigning Exemption Fee Codes and Priority

The Exemption Fee Code Priority window allows you to associate exemption/waiver definition codes with charge/fee codes to define the charge/fee codes that the exemption or waiver offsets, and to assign a priority order for processing the exemptions/waivers. Each exemption/waiver may be assigned to one or more charge/fee codes.

How To

1. Access the Exemption Fee Code Priority window.

2. To add or insert a new row, select Add Row or Insert Row from the right-click or Options menu.

3. Select the code identifying the charge or fee to which the exemption or waiver will be applied from the Fee Code drop-down list.

4. To indicate the order in which fee codes are to be processed when disbursements are applied to charges, enter the processing order in the Fee Priority column.

Valid numbers for this column are 1 through 1000. The fee code with the lowest priority number in the list will be processed first, and the one with the highest number processed last.

5. Save.

6. To assign another charge/fee code to the exemption/waiver, repeat steps 2-7.

1. Access the Exemption Fee Code Priority window.

2. Locate the entries for which you want to change the processing order.

3. In the Fee Priority column, adjust the numbers as appropriate.

Valid numbers for this column are 1 through 1000. The fee code with the lowest priority number in the list will be processed first, and the one with the highest number processed last.

4. Save.

1. Access the Exemption Fee Code Priority window.

2. Locate the entry you wish to delete.

3. Select the row and select Delete Row from the right-click or Options menu.

4. Save.
