Vehicle Registration Details Window

This window is used to register vehicles on campus by entering information about the permit, the permit holder, and the vehicle. A vehicle registration consists of both a permit code and a permit number. Although the permit code is predefined, the user can determine the number or the system can generate the number. You can enter additional information, such as the driver's license number and state, vehicle license plate and state, make/model/year, vehicle description, and the status of the permit. Information about the permit, the permit holder, and the vehicle are recorded in this window using three tabs: the Permits tab, the Individuals tab, and the Vehicle tab.

In order to enter data in this window, you must specify a Permit Code in the Header.

How To

1. Open the Vehicle Registration Details window.

2. Select the appropriate Permit Code from the drop-down list. Information may default into some of the columns.

3. You can enter a number in the Number column, or the system will generate the next available number for you.

4. Select/Enter the necessary information on the Permits tab. Note that some of the columns are not editable (dimmed).

5. Save.

6. Click the Individual tab, and select/enter necessary information.

7. Save.

8. Click the Vehicle tab, and select/enter necessary information.

9. Save. If you have not assigned a Permit Number, the system will assign one at this time.
