Notepad is an important component of Communication Management. It allows you to track communications for any ID Number. Notepad lets you type free-form notes and manage actions, action lists, and events for prospects, students, employees, donors, and organizations. The tasks for these actions, action lists, and events can in turn be assigned to the To Do Lists of the people responsible.
The Notepad window works in processes with many other windows in the Communication Management activity center.
· Actions (for example, calls, letters, mailings, interviews)
· Action List (sequences of actions)
· Events (for example, fund raisers, orientations, alumni gatherings)
· Notes (free-form documents to track communications or observations)
· Notepad Users (to set access and permissions)
· To Do List (to assign tasks)
· Mass Add (to add actions, action lists, and events to multiple people at once)
· Daily Procedure (to schedule and execute communication tasks)
Several features and windows related to Notepad, including the following, support rich text format (RTF) as an alternative to plain text (TXT). Using rich text format allows you to save formatting, including bullet lists, fonts, and tabs.
· Add Action
· Edit Note window
· Item Description column on Notepad window
· Edit Item windows (Action, Action Item, and Event)
Plain text is the default, but you can change the configuration. |
