When you change the Program Start and/or End Dates for the international student or the Subject Start and/or End Dates for the exchange visitor, the Change Program Dates window opens if you have not selected the reason for the change. The following columns are required:
· Program Has Been Deferred (for student)
or
Program Has Been Amended (for exchange visitor)
· Neither Extending or Deferring
If Program Has been Extended is selected, the process updates EXT_PROG to 'Y' in the SEVIS_STUDENT or SEVIS_EV tables and creates a row in SEVIS_SOA_TRANS table where TRANS_CDE = EXTPGM.
If Program Has Been Deferred is selected, the process updates DFT_ATTENDANCE to 'Y' in the SEVIS_STUDENT table and creates a row in the SEVIS_SOA_TRANS table where TRANS_CDE = DFRATT.
If Program Has Been Amended is selected, the process updates AMD_PROG to 'Y' in the SEVIS_EV table and creates a row in SEVIS_SOA_TRANS table where TRANS_CDE = AMDPGM.
