Use the options from the Payment Plan Filter section to define criteria and search existing payment plans. Once you’ve entered your criteria, click Apply Filter. If you want to see all payment plans, click Clear Filter.  

 

Once you have filtered the payment plan results, you will see the available plans in the Payment Plans section. Find the row for the payment plan you want to edit and click the row to highlight it. Once the row is highlighted, click the Edit button at the bottom of the window to open the Payment Plan window where you can make changes to the plan.

 

Select an existing Payment plan from the list. Once the row you want is highlighted, click the Copy button at the bottom of the window. The Payment Plan window will open with a new record that has default data matching the original plan. The plan name will show "(Copy)" at the end of the name, Freeze Date and Sign Up End Date will be blank,  and the Sign Up Begin date will be set to the current date. All content from the Consent and More Info tabs will be copied, but no students will be carried over to the new plan. Once the copy is created, you will need to make any adjustments to the plan before saving.

The Plan Name cannot exceed 30 characters. If a plan with a long name is copied, the original title will be shortened to 23 characters to make room for "(Copy)" text.

Once you have filtered the payment plan results, you will see the available plans in the Payment Plans section. Find the row for the payment plan you want to edit and click the row to highlight it. Once the row is highlighted, click the Delete button at the bottom of the window . You will need to confirm that you want to delete the payment plan.

If a student has already consented to the plan, you should not delete it. If you do want to delete a plan that students have already consented to, you will need to notify each student on the plan.

If a student has already made a payment on a payment plan, the plan cannot be deleted.

 

1. Click the Setup Payment Plan Notifications link. The Set Up Notifications window appears.

2. By default, Payment Plan is selected for the Select Notification Process drop-down.

3. From the Select Event within Process drop-down, select the event you would like to trigger the notification being sent. There are six types of payment plan notifications:  

• Change to Plan Balance: Notifies the student if their payment plan balance changes after the original sign-up for the plan.

• Consent to Payment Plan: Notifies the student after they have successfully signed-up for a payment plan.

• Finance Charge/ Late Payment Fee Charged: Notifies the student if their payment plan was charged a late fee or a finance charge fee.

• Next Payment Due: Notifies the student 5 days prior to a due date for a  payment plan payment.

• Payment Made: Notifies the student that a payment was applied to their payment plan balance.

• Payment Past Due: Notifies the student 1 day after a payment plan due date when a payment is not made.

4. To turn the notification on, select the On radio button. Example

   

5. To view who the notification will get sent to, click on the Who Gets Notified tab.

6. To edit the essage details, click omn the What Message is Sent tab. For more information on the different notification customizations, see Set Up Notifications.

7. Click Save.

If a student has already signed up for a payment plan, you should not delete the plan. If for some reason you do need to delete the plan, you will need to contact the student(s) and make sure they can either pay their full balance or get onto another payment plan.

If a student has already made a payment on a payment plan, the plan cannot be deleted.
