The settings on this window establish the events at your school that are important enough to become notification events and who is notified for each event. You can also configure a custom message for each event. These notifications can be sent to the specified users via J1 Desktop application alerts or e-mail messages, depending on the recipient's user preferences.
The Select Notification Process drop-down list is populated with values depending on the process that opened the window. Choosing a value from this list changes the events displayed in the Select Event within Process drop-down list.
The Select Event within Process drop-down list is populated with events for the process selected in the Select Notification Process drop-down list.
The Event pane is used to configure settings for the selected process and event.
· The On and Off radio buttons labeled "Notifications are" determine if the event will send a notification. The default is Off (No). Select the On (Yes) radio button to send notifications. This can be turned on and off as needed.
· The Who Gets Notified tab is populated depending on process, event, and role. Select the Send To checkbox for the appropriate role to which to send the notification.
· The What Message is Sent tab allows you to define notifications to be sent for the selected process and event.
o From: Enter a valid e-mail address from whom this notification is sent and also to whom a reply should be sent.
o CC: Enter a valid e-mail address for any persons who should receive this notification. These persons are in addition to persons in the roles selected on the Who Gets Notified tab.
o BCC: Enter a valid e-mail address for any persons who should receive this notification. These persons are in addition to persons in the roles selected on the Who Gets Notified tab.
o Subject:
Enter the text for the subject of the notification. You can use placeholders
to display dynamic content. Click the
icon to open the Select a Placeholder
window to add placeholder tags.
o Send Emails in HTML Form: If you select this checkbox, ONLY e-mail notifications will be sent in HTML format. J1 Desktop application alerts will not be sent in HTML format because of application interface requirements.
o Include Comment Thread:If you select this checkbox, any thread of comments will be included.
o Include Latest File Attachment:If you select this checkbox, the latest file attachment for the event will be included.
o Message:
