Update Results and Rules Window

The Update Results and Rules window allows you to select an update type and one of the update codes associated with that type and define resulting codes and the rules that should return each resulting code. Closed and open book icons are used to illustrate the update type and code that is selected.

When you open this window from an Activity Center:

·       The window title is "Rules Based Update."

·       Only Update Types to which you have been granted access through Update Definition User access are displayed.

Tabs

There are three tabs on the Update Results and Rules window:

·       Results Definition (allows you to define the resulting code)

·       Results Rules Definition (allows you to define the rules)

·       Print Rules (displays the result and rule criteria in a report format that can be printed)

·       If your school has only one OPE ID, the OPE rule can be defined by adding a row in the Results Definition tab of the Update Results and Rules window.

·       If your school has multiple branches, create an OPE rule to assign each OPE ID based on how you know the student is attending the particular branch. This may be based on the location code you assigned the student in the Student Master table, but it may be defined otherwise.
