Forgiven Course Recalc Definition Window

Use this window to define how forgiven courses and courses that are repeated but not forgiven will apply to different GPAs. The values you create here are applied to the various credit types on the Credit Type Definition window.

You define the forgiven and not forgiven courses by determining whether their hours will be added to the hours in each of the GPA types.

The GPA types include these:

·       Term

·       Career

·       Alt1 (or A1)

·       Alt2 (or A2)

The Career, Alt1, and Alt2 GPAs can be relabeled to suit your school's purpose for them. See the GPA/Repeat Logic Tab (Registration Configuration Window.

For each of the rows, you set the parameters by selecting any of these checkboxes for each GPA type:

·       Attempted

·       Earned

·       GPA

Each row in the data table represents a type of repeated course. There are two rows by default:

·       Forgiven Course Logic

·       Not Forgiven Course Logic

For Forgiven Course Logic, under Add to Term Hours, you select any of Attempted, Earned, and GPA. If you select all three, then forgiven courses will be added to the term calculations for attempted hours, earned hours, and GPA hours.

This window operates like most definition windows. You can deactivate or reactivate a row, and you can add or insert rows. You can delete rows you created but not rows included in the default data.
