Users Tab (Notepad Users Window)

Use this tab to define users for the Notepad system. To grant users access to the Notepad options, they must exist on the Users tab and have access rights defined on the Rights tab.

A selected User ID must have an associated ID Number. If necessary, go to the Users window to set the ID Number before proceeding.

Columns

Use this drop-down to filter users by active and inactive J1 Desktop and J1 Web.

If a user is an active J1 Desktop user (Users window), this checkbox shows a check mark. If the J1 Desktop user has been inactivated, no check mark is shown. Inactive users cannot log into J1 Desktop, belong to user groups with permissions to J1 Desktop information, or access Notepad information and features.

Users can only be activated and inactivated from the Users window. This checkbox is only intended to let you know if a user is active or inactive so you can determine if they are allowed Notepad access and permissions.

If a user is an active J1 Web user, this checkbox shows a check mark. If the J1 Web user has been inactivated, no check mark is shown. Inactive users cannot log into J1 Web, belong to J1 Web roles with permissions to J1 Web information, or access Notepad information and features available in J1 Web.

User can only be activated and inactivated from the Users window.
