Process Schedule Window

Before scheduling new processes, we recommend that you first run the process in "interactive" mode (running the process as you normally would through the module) to verify the criteria entered will produce the desired results. This should help to avoid unexpected results when running the process in scheduled mode.

This window is used to maintain existing process schedules and create new process schedules, depending on how you open the window.

·       If you open the window through a Process Schedule option, you can maintain scheduled processes.

·       If you open the window through the Schedule button, you can create a new process schedule.

If you have appropriate permissions, each prompt window that can schedule a process has a Schedule button, which, when clicked, opens the Process Schedule window.

This window consists of a tree of currently scheduled processes on the left side and a details window on the right side. When you select a scheduled process in the tree view in the left panel, its details are displayed in the right panel.

Tree

The Tree shows all scheduled process rows whose end date has not been reached. For each process, the following levels of information are available:

·       Level 1: Process Name

·       Level 2: Displays the Start date and time, End date and time, and Schedule Name

·       Level 3: Displays the schedule frequency

If you select a scheduled process and then click the Delete button at the bottom of the tree view, the following message is displayed: "All dependent data related to Process Schedule will be deleted and cannot be restored. Continue?" If you click the Yes button, the row is deleted from the Process Schedule and Process History tables, the schedule information is removed from the Process Schedule window, and notifications are sent to all involved recipients indicating that the process schedule has been deleted.

The Database Administrator can determine the Database Blackout times (for backups, server work, etc.) and can add new Database Blackout rows by clicking the New DB Blackout button. When you click this button, DB_BLACKOUT_PROCESS defaults as the Process Name and the User ID of the current user defaults as the Requester User. Processes will not run during Database Blackout times.
